Ok the original post was on Hope to the Future.....but I thought I would give you the reults here.

As you know Becci and Perry called in the Middlesex Paranormal Investigators and they attended last week.

It is only a very brief report.....much to be added later.....but here it is...

One thing you all have to remember is that BOTH PICTURES were taken with flash as no lights on......

Bedroom.......light anomoly on the bed....(small circle)

Living Room..light anomoly on the wall....to the left of the TV.

One thing Becci and I noticed today was a 'pattern' on the curtain....one side....If you look is just above the table and flows with the folds......there is NOTHING LIKE THAT IN THE WEAVE....WE CHECKED TODAY.

Well draw your own conclusions.

P xx

BTW.......I just re-read that report and on reflection about Paige looking over her shoulder.....I have seen that and when she does she smiles...she is looking at a blank wall

Happy child I don't have to tell you.....but oh so QUICK!!!!

She has learn't to wave goodbye and doesn't do it till people go.

Perry spent an hour saying "Hello" last night and I got greated with "Ay-yo" when I got there....and was non stop with chuckles all afternoon.

Well near enough is good enough at her age. Becci and I thought her first word was gonna be "Yes" as we keep saying that.

I just looked it up.....babies start forming words at about 6 months...

Sin and evil......

The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them: that's the essence of inhumanity.

To sin is a human business, to justify sins is a devilish business.

Evil is like water, it abounds, is cheap, soon fouls, but runs itself clear of taint

These two topics seem rather popular today so I thought I would make it a hat trick...

But remember....

It is ever thus that the things which we do wrong - although they may seem little at the time, and though from the hardness of our hearts we pass them lightly by - come back to us with bitterness

All parts of the daffodil are poisonous.

An extract of daffodil bulbs, when applied to open wounds, produces staggering, numbness of the whole nervous system, and paralysis of the heart. If you are trapped in a small space with a daffodil, it will give you a headache.

There have been several cases of death by daffodil poisoning in which the bulbs were eaten in mistake for onions.

A SIMPLE RECIPE.....

INSURANCE CLAIM SOUP!!! with creamy Leeks

Ingredients:

* 1 oz (25g) butter
* 2 small onions,(daffodil bulbs as an alternative) sliced
* 2 tbsp plain flour
* 2 pts (1 ltr) chicken stock
* Half tsp celery salt
* Salt and black pepper to taste
* 1 tsp paprika
* Pinch grated nutmeg
* 1.5 lb (750g)Welsh Leeks cut into half lengths
* 2 egg yolks
* 8 fl.oz (225ml) double cream

Method:

1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over a moderate heat. Add the onions/bulbs and
cook gently until softened, but not brown.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour to make a paste. Slowly add the stock,
stirring to break up any lumps.
3. Add the celery salt, seasoning, paprika, nutmeg and leeks to pan and stir to mix.
4. Return to the heat and bring to the boil, stirring constantly.
5. Reduce the heat, cover the pan and simmer for 30 minutes until leeks are very tender.
6. In a small bowl beat the cream and egg yolks together then slowly stir into the soup.
7. Cook gently, stirring constantly for 4-5 minutes until the soup has thickened.
Do not allow to boil as the soup will curdle.
8. Serve with crutons.

OBVIOUSLY THIS RECIPE IS A JOKE AND NOT TO BE USED WITH DAFFODIL BULBS...BUT IS A GOOD SOUP USED WITH ONIONS AS DIRECTED.

Valdivia awoke to find her family’s hip-high, inflatable, 10-foot diameter swimming pool gone from her back yard Wednesday.

Valdivia told The Record of Bergen County the theft must have occurred between 1 a.m., when her husband went to bed, and 5 a.m., when she awoke.

She’s amazed someone could steal the pool that quickly and just wanted to know “what the heck they did with the water,” she said.

It has been a couple of months since I wrote anything on Gardens and their care and thought I would add something today.

Planting Tulip Bulbs

As the temperature drops it's time to start thinking about planting one of our favourite types of flower, the tulip. With its vast array of shapes, sizes, colours and textures it has always been prized for its beauty.

When's the right time? From November onwards, you can continue planting your bulbs right up until Christmas as long as the ground is frost free, they will still flower perfectly well in the following spring as they only need a short season of growth.

Plant your bulbs when the temperature has dropped sufficiently; as it is warm weather that encourages the development of tulip blight (Botrytis Tulipae).You can spot this by looking out for bulb rot, grey/green lesions on the leaves and sometimes even spotted petals.

If your tulips develop blight it is necessary to remove and destroy them, but remember not to add them to the compost heap. You can hinder its return by planting your bulbs in different places each year.

Now I am writing a DIFFERENT ONE TO NORMAL....

Curry Compound May Kill Cancer

A molecule found in the yellow curry spice turmeric may one day be used to treat cancer.

Researchers found that esophageal cancer cells treated with curcumin, the substance that gives turmeric its yellow color, began dying within 24 hours. These data support previous research that suggests curcumin can suppress tumors and that people who eat lots of curry may have a reduced cancer risk.

Esophageal cancers are particularly deadly and take the lives of more than a half a million people each year.

Woooo.....

Almost 1/3 of the United States is covered by forests! And forests cover 41% of the land in the state of Idaho. About 90% of Idaho's land that was covered by forests in the year 1630 is still covered by forests.

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

The word "lethologica" describes the state of not being able to remember the word you want.

Ah well....I leave you with this

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:

Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much.. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies..' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.
Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.
Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by..
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
By the way, I'm easy to find, I am wherever there is love.

Ok.....I know I shouldn't have, but what is Paige going to make of Christmas this year? She will be just 4 months old.

Yes, she will love the lights, the tree....but, she won't appreciate the unwrapping of presents...she may take pleasure in playing with the paper and sparkly bows. She will enjoy some new toys...and knowing the family there will be no doubt a few new toys to enjoy.

At 2 months she is just starting to sit up and hold her head and is getting bored with her play mat even though we have 'swopped' the bits about on it. The small toys are a little to heavy for her to pick up at present, and she MOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT WANT ANYMORE STUFFED TOYS. I am starting to have to store them here at home.

I spoke with Becci and we decided that the Xmas pressie I got for her which is suitable from birth .....could be brought into play NOW. She would get a couple of extra months pleasure out of it....and still have new things at Christmas from her other grandparents and family.

Sooooo...today I took it round, we put it together (no instructions included)..which was a bit of a bind but we did it. And it took all of 5 seconds for her to work out if she KICKED the foot bit the tune would start playing. She loved the lights on they keyboard (which is detatchable to go in the cot or on a play table).

Becci and I suffered an hour and half of nursery rhymn tunes...till she wanted feeding, and then GUESS WHAT? wanted her new toy and before I left had spent a further hour kicking hell out of the foot thing to make it play music.....think it will drive Becci up the wall after a few weeks...like a boy with a drum
